It's game week for your Red Raiders. They travel this weekend to San Antonio to take on the Bobcats of Texas State. Games are this weekend on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and 3:15 pm, respectivly.
The Red Raiders are coming off a break after their sweep of ETBU in Mansfield, winning those games 5-0 and 5-2, however feel like they have the momentum coming in, as they've won four straight after starting the season 0-2. The Red Raiders are carrying the load of injuries, with the list being added to this week with Noah De Haro, one of Tech's wingers, with a shoulder injury sustained against ETBU last time out. This, on top of having Riley Phillips out for the season with thumb surgery, has left the Red Raiders short in the bottom six department, only truly having three lines for Coach Loncar and Hallum to work with. The Red Raiders are led into this weekend by the two-headed tandem of Mason Mashigian and Jackson Wooten, both freshmen who lead the team with nine points, while Wooten is ahead in goals with six compared to Mashigian's five.
The Bobcats are coming off what feels to be a miserable weekend on Halloween, when they were swept by Texas A&M 7-5 and 7-3 in conference play last weekend. Led by their captain, Hayden Cox, who leads the Bobcats in both goals and points with 13 goals and 17 points, while forward Cooper Hunt leads the Bobcats with nine assists. The Bobcats look to turn their season around this weekend.
Games will be streamed this weekend by both clubs. Texas State will be on Blackdog, and your Red Raiders will be on YouTube.
Both games this weekend will be at the Ice and Golf Center at Northwoods in northern San Antonio.
